PROUDLY PRESENTS THE FOLLOWING AWARD
VIRTUAL DOLLIE CHALLENGE
Butterfly Doll
TO
Christie Anglin
A note from Christie:
My mother taught me to sew when I was very little. The first
thing I recollect making was hand sewn doll clothes. I made a few dolls
during my teens, but it was just after college that I was introduced to
the patterns of epb and I fell in love with doll making. From that point
on most of my beloved family and friends received dolls as presents.
This
past year I entered a butterfly challenge through Virtual Dollies and entered
my doll into the AV Doll Show. I modified the pattern somewhat, and to
my pleasure received a Blue Ribbon, Best of Class Ribbon, Best of Show
Trophy and an IVC award for my efforts.
I have always loved color, print, texture and embellishment and love to incorporate as much as I can into the dolls I make. I am starting to develop some of my own patterns, but also use and adapt patterns of other doll makers. All of my dolls [except pin dolls] are one of a kind. I will use the same pattern, but always embellish differently.
I like to make dolls 22" and smaller. I particularly enjoy making pin dolls and have a collection of decorative doll faced buttons available. I would love to give you more information about ordering my dolls, please contact me.
