Siegfried
was awarded First Place in Division - "Adapted from a Pattern"
in the "Cloth Animal" Category, he went on to be awarded Best
of Class and then presented with the Judges Choice Award.
Leah resides in Sherman Oaks, California and is currently working on introducing some of her very original pieces of work at the June, 1997 Doll Show in Pasadena, California.
Leah has a degree in textile design and has created original
prints for the swim wear industry. All of her dolls are original designs
and she is always looking for a new way to do something different with
her one-of-a-kind Doll Design.
All
of Leah's dolls combine all of her talents, crocheting, knitting, quilting,
beading, fabric dying and airbrushing.
Her
dolls are for sale and she is always creating new ones. No two dolls will
be exactly alike. She considers them art, not production line dolls. She
will repeat a pattern, but each doll will develop her own personality and
will most probably be embellished differently.
